Step 2: Record Correct Answers
Pause from small group discussion to mark correct answers as a class
Use a highlighter for all incorrect questions - mark on TEST AND BUBBLE SHEET
Step 3: Analyze Q&A
With your group or on your own, analyze each question and correct 3 of the 4 wrong answer choices (explan why this was NOT the correct answer - squeeze this right on your test)
Step 4*: Metacognition
In the space below, explain what you have learned from the EAE. Consider, but do not limit your response, to the following: why did you make the mistakes you did, did yu misread the question, was the question misinterpreted, did you not understand the stucture of the question, did you confuse terms, was the term completely unknow to you, did you have trouble with straightforward memorization type questions or application questions).
Please do not say "you didn't have a clue." You very likely can tell me more than that about what caused your errors.
You should then identify strategies you should employ to make the information in your notes more meaningful and memorable. Did you have the information on test in your notes? Were your notes sufficient for review? What will you do next time to repair the deficiences encountered in this error analysis?
*Note: If you earned an 85% or higher, you are exempt from Step 4.
